Fundraising and how you can help |
|
St Georges offers approximately 25% of our childcare places at a reduced rate to families who come to us in times of need. The remainder of our places are charged to families at the lowest possible rate, as a non-profit making organisation all of our childcare costs are kept to a minimum.
Every year we have to raise up to £20,000 to fund our subsidised fee structure, through our own fundraising activities and applications to charitable foundations and grant-making bodies. In addition, we also need to raise money for a number of specific projects such as new equipment, ongoing refurbishment and maintainence. Our fundraising projects are both long and short term and all are planned with the benefit of the children in mind. Whether its refurbishing the old Badgers kitchen to its current state of the art kitchen, the garden to a wonderful outside area for play, learning and exploration, providing a chill-out area for the after school club, or providing individual staff support for some of our children with special needs - all of these projects would not be possible without your support. We actively encourage our Parents and friends of St Georges to become involved and help raise funds by doing whatever they are good at: from sewing to baking cakes, to growing plants to holding fundraising events such as Golf-days, running the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon. Any contribution you can make really makes a difference and helps us to ensure the long term future of our true community group. If you would like to get involved, by making a donation or by volunteering your time and expertise - please contact Islay on tel: 01892 543982 or by email islay@stgeorgesproject.co.uk |
